Lars Attacks

So, yeah, long day. Crack of dawn to Copenhagen and back again. Met Lars Von Trier at his Zentropa studio just outside the city. Was a former Danish Air Force base. Quite appropriately his personal office, a building away from the rest, was the old, blast-proof munitions store. A bunker as you might put it. Can be explosive at leisure. An unusual chap, one has to say. But I really liked him. Very entertaining.

Talked endlessly about the Cannes/Nazi incident, of course. My opinion? Not to excuse, but I think an unfortunate combination of a neurotic rambler disengaging brain from mouth (speaking a second language) and a tendency to black humour taken one step to far. Will deal with in full, don't you worry.
